Comisión de Estudios sobre la Violencia, Colombia: Violencia y democracia: informe presentado al Ministerio de Gobierno (Bogotá: Universidad Nacional de Colombia, 1987). Diagnosis of the contemporary violence by a commission of intellectuals (who later came to be known as the "violentologos"). They argue that multiple forms of violence are occuring simultaneously. Very important for understanding the violence of the 1980s and 90s and Colombian interpretations of it.
